Hey there folks!
With all the spring time storms we’re having, winds of change are everywhere! I hope that you and your families are keeping safe during all this, just remember to keep your eye on the sky…for all kinds of reasons!
We have been just crazy busy here lately. I’ve been holding off on sending an update because we’ve been waiting to get final word on some big life changes for our ministry and our family. And finally, they have arrived!
If you haven’t seen the press info, let me be the first to tell you that we are leaving the Illinois area and headed for the sunny coast of Myrtle Beach, SC! That’s right…no more snow, no more cold, no more shovels. I’m even giving my snow plow to my father in law…Lord knows he needs it up here! Kelly and I were approached near the end of the year about a new project being developed in the Myrtle Beach area. This new theater is owned by an old associate of ours who contacted me initially about coming to sing at the venue and perhaps helping with some of the booking. The more we talked, the more we understood that there was some great opportunity there. He asked us to come on board and help launch the Pat Boone Family Theater in Myrtle Beach. Kelly will lead the Marketing effort, I’ll be responsible for the day to day operations, overall booking of talent and events and just general making sure things are working as they should. The high season feature artist is a wonde rful Illusionist known around the world as Morgan. This will be an incredible family show and fun for all ages. There’ll also be lots of musical concerts featuring some of the best known names in all kinds of music, and will certainly feature some great gospel music! We are so very excited and abundantly blessed to be a part of this.
But don’t worry…this does not take us off the road from our ministry efforts, or change the annual Branson Gospel Music Revival. We’ll still be very involved in sharing the message of hope and grace wherever we are able. We’ll also be looking to add an additional event something like our Branson event at the location here in Myrtle Beach! Keep watching for more information.
Please be in prayer for our family. While we’re used to being on the road a lot, we’re used to always coming back home. This will be a big move for our kids and for Kelly. All her family is here and this is the only place she’s ever lived. But we know that God is leading, and where He leads we’ll succeed! Just pray for guidance and patience as we move a house full of craziness half way across the country!
All our operations will be relocating, including my ministry, Rod Burton Music, YMR Music Productions and the Branson Gospel Music Revival. Kelly will continue to work with SCOOPS and continue to be the best friend and mom anyone could ask for. Be looking for an update on our move, as well as stories that are sure to come. We don’t do anything small, and rarely do it the way ‘normal’ people would.
